OBSG Series 08 - Why we should repent

There are so many reasons why we should repent as humans, reasons why should live a life without blemish, but due to long text alert, I will give us few reasons and then discuss the importance in our next series, praise the LORD of HOST!

We repent so we can make heaven and see GOD's Kingdom: Repentance blots out our names from the book of death and imprints it in the book of life. As sinners, we sin and lost our privilege of eternity with Christ JESUS in heaven. John 3:3.

Living in GOD's Glory here on earth and after: Repentance brings down GOD's Glory into our lives.  It helps us enjoy the benefits of HIS reign here on earth before we pass on to eternity. When we sin, we fall short of HIS Glory Romans 3:23.

Remember how man fell short of GOD's glory in the beginning and was driven from the Garden of Eden into a world of suffering and hardship Genesis 3:22-24. The Garden of Eden is an example of GOD's Glory here on Earth for us all.

The first man and his wife Eve lost it, and then JESUS came to restore back our Glory Hallelujah!!! Therefore through HIS death and resurrection, every man who genuinely repents of his sins and give his life to Christ, sees GOD's Glory here on earth before he passes on!

Talking about GOD's Glory, we are not talking about seeing one bright light and walking with your forehead shining. We are talking about GOD restoring all that you have lost when you were still a sinner, Joel 2:25, making your burden lighter Matthew 11:30. Given you job where there are no jobs for others and making you live in plenty in the midst of scarcity and of course protecting you and so On...PRAISE THE LORD OF HOST!

Repentance Breaks the Curses in our lives from our Roots: Remember the Bible says the sins of the father will visit up to the third and fourth generation of that family (Numbers 14:18). So many churches today tell us it’s no longer in existence, but that is not true, (Heaven and earth shall pass away, only HIS word will remain, Mark 13:31).

When you continue to live in sin, you will knowingly or unknowingly also carry the burden of the sins or crimes your parents or grandparents committed, the only way you can be free from such shackles is when you repent of your sins and walk in GOD's light Praise the LORD! Ezekiel 18:20.

Prayer: FATHER cleans us from all unrighteousness and cause us to live in the Glory of YOUR light and mercy forever in JESUS name, amen.

OBSG Series 07 – GOD’s Favour

Genesis 29:1-8  Jacob proceeded cheerfully in his journey, after the sweet communion he had with God at Beth-el. Providence brought him to the field where his uncle's flocks were to be watered. What is said of the care of the shepherds for their sheep, may remind us of the tender concern which our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, has for his flock the church; for he is the good Shepherd, that knows his sheep, and is known of them.  The stone at the well's mouth was to secure it; water was scarce, it was not there for every one's use: but separate interests should not take us from helping one another. When all the shepherds came together with their flocks, then, like loving neighbours, they watered their flocks together. The law of kindness in the tongue has a commanding power, Proverbs 31:26 . Jacob was civil to these strangers, and he found them civil to him. Same way, if we today’s Christians listen and obey GOD’s word, HE will definitely do more...

OBSG Series 02 - Esau’s Mistake – Genesis 28:6-9

Esau had married two Canaanite women, women who were from different backgrounds as him, without the fear of GOD in them.  They were idol worshipers. After seeing that his parents urged Jacob to go marry from his mother’s people, he realized his parents were really displeased with his choice.  Esau trying to fix what he had done, took Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son as a wife, because to him, marrying his cousin like Jacob was instructed, would fix his broken relationship with his parents but little did he know he was going about it the wrong way, fixing a mistake with another mistake. Genesis 28:6-9 6 Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Padan Aram to take himself a wife from there, and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan,” 7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Padan Aram. 8 Also Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan did not p...

OBSG Series 04 – Matthew 28:1-8

Matthew 28:1-8 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. 5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” 8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. JESUS said I will destroy this church and I will raise it up in 3 days… ( J...
