OBSG Series 09 - Importance of Repentance

Let us note two reasons why it is very important for us to repent as believers and children of the MOST HIGH GOD!

When we don’t repent, we worship ourselves (Exodus 20:2-3): As we proclaim CHRIST and live in such a way that we desire including continuing to sin, not only are we lying to others about what the Bible says, but we are lying to ourselves that GOD knows better. We are leading people down a dangerous path and continuing to be stumbling blocks. We are in essence slapping GOD in the face, saying, thanks for YOUR forgiveness, but I will take it from here. GOD will not tolerate this from us, especially those of us who have long been in the faith.

When we repent, we worship God (Revelation 19:6-7): As we proclaim what Christ has done for us on the cross, we believe HIS Word and that sin is not worth it. We grow in our walk and work with the LORD and the continued removal of sin from our lives. In these moments, we are truly living as new creations and the old versions of ourselves pass away. We are trusting GOD that what HE says is true and that HE knows better. Let’s continue to strive towards repentance of sin in our lives and to love others by preaching repentance. PRAISE THE LORD

We shall stop here for today, in case you are yet to give your life to Christ, please do so today and THE LORD will lift you from that bondage, challenge and sleepless nights in JESUS Name, amen.

Prayer: Thank YOU LORD for this message, FATHER we ask that YOU help us flee totally from sin and live a righteous life in JESUS name, Amen.

Questions for us
1.       Is there something GOD is calling you to repent from?
2.       What do you need to turn away from?
3.       Do you believe it’s important to call people to repentance including yourself?

Please feel free to send us e-mail obsgonline@gmail.com on any issue bothering you and your Christian life, we are here for you.  GOD Bless You.

OBSG Series 07 – GOD’s Favour

Genesis 29:1-8  Jacob proceeded cheerfully in his journey, after the sweet communion he had with God at Beth-el. Providence brought him to the field where his uncle's flocks were to be watered. What is said of the care of the shepherds for their sheep, may remind us of the tender concern which our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, has for his flock the church; for he is the good Shepherd, that knows his sheep, and is known of them.  The stone at the well's mouth was to secure it; water was scarce, it was not there for every one's use: but separate interests should not take us from helping one another. When all the shepherds came together with their flocks, then, like loving neighbours, they watered their flocks together. The law of kindness in the tongue has a commanding power, Proverbs 31:26 . Jacob was civil to these strangers, and he found them civil to him. Same way, if we today’s Christians listen and obey GOD’s word, HE will definitely do more...

OBSG Series 02 - Esau’s Mistake – Genesis 28:6-9

Esau had married two Canaanite women, women who were from different backgrounds as him, without the fear of GOD in them.  They were idol worshipers. After seeing that his parents urged Jacob to go marry from his mother’s people, he realized his parents were really displeased with his choice.  Esau trying to fix what he had done, took Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son as a wife, because to him, marrying his cousin like Jacob was instructed, would fix his broken relationship with his parents but little did he know he was going about it the wrong way, fixing a mistake with another mistake. Genesis 28:6-9 6 Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Padan Aram to take himself a wife from there, and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan,” 7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Padan Aram. 8 Also Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan did not p...

OBSG Series 04 – Matthew 28:1-8

Matthew 28:1-8 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. 5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” 8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. JESUS said I will destroy this church and I will raise it up in 3 days… ( J...
