OBSG Series 11 – Holding onto GOD in the Midst of Challenges

Daniel 3:12-30 Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego in the midst of their challenges, stood their grounds and were not moved even when they were told of the consequences of their actions, they did not only win in the end, their faith in GOD brought the entire Babylon to not only acknowledge the power and existence of GOD, it also gave them divine upliftment and promotion in a strange land…HALLELUYAH!!!

Acts 16:22-35 Paul and Silas in the midst of their challenges held on to GOD and were not only freed, the awesome power of GOD caused them to lead the prison warder and his entire family to CHRIST JESUS…HALLELUYAH!!!

Holding unto GOD in the midst of our challenges most times may seem foolish and not the best decision for us, but it is the best decision regardless of what our challenges are…Praise the LORD of HOST!

Holding onto GOD during our trying times may just be what we need at that particular time or period to overcome some insurmountable problems in our lives.

Also, GOD can allow us go through challenges so as to use us to glorify HIS name in the lives of the people around us, touch the hardened heart of a lost soul in our environment and so on.

JESUS endured HIS challenges to the end and held on to GOD, the result today is the unmerited favour, eternal life, peace, prosperity, love etc. that we as believers are enjoying…Praise the MOST HIGH GOD

Most times, GOD allows us to go through these challenges so as to help us learn, realise our faults and correct them, have better experiences or help mould us into better individuals.  Challenges help us become more grounded in the word of GOD, increase our faith and believe in HIM and HIS MIGHTY power.

Let us therefore, stop letting go of the hands of GOD in our lives each time we are going through challenges, most people prefer to go seek the help of fake prophets and sorcerers just like King Saul did (1Samuel 28:7-25), instead of sticking with GOD.

Check your life and be sure you are still in good terms with your maker, obedient to HIM and then leave everything to HIM in prayers and praises, then watch HIM turn your mourning into dancing…HALLELUYAH!!!

Prayer: FATHER give us the grace and persevering heart to go through our challenges holding unto YOU till the end in JESUS name, Amen.

OBSG Series 07 – GOD’s Favour

Genesis 29:1-8  Jacob proceeded cheerfully in his journey, after the sweet communion he had with God at Beth-el. Providence brought him to the field where his uncle's flocks were to be watered. What is said of the care of the shepherds for their sheep, may remind us of the tender concern which our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, has for his flock the church; for he is the good Shepherd, that knows his sheep, and is known of them.  The stone at the well's mouth was to secure it; water was scarce, it was not there for every one's use: but separate interests should not take us from helping one another. When all the shepherds came together with their flocks, then, like loving neighbours, they watered their flocks together. The law of kindness in the tongue has a commanding power, Proverbs 31:26 . Jacob was civil to these strangers, and he found them civil to him. Same way, if we today’s Christians listen and obey GOD’s word, HE will definitely do more...

OBSG Series 02 - Esau’s Mistake – Genesis 28:6-9

Esau had married two Canaanite women, women who were from different backgrounds as him, without the fear of GOD in them.  They were idol worshipers. After seeing that his parents urged Jacob to go marry from his mother’s people, he realized his parents were really displeased with his choice.  Esau trying to fix what he had done, took Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son as a wife, because to him, marrying his cousin like Jacob was instructed, would fix his broken relationship with his parents but little did he know he was going about it the wrong way, fixing a mistake with another mistake. Genesis 28:6-9 6 Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Padan Aram to take himself a wife from there, and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan,” 7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Padan Aram. 8 Also Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan did not p...

OBSG Series 04 – Matthew 28:1-8

Matthew 28:1-8 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4 And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. 5 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” 8 So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word. JESUS said I will destroy this church and I will raise it up in 3 days… ( J...
